Question 1

Do I need to drill holes to install the rail?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You drill a few holes (typically every 30 to 40 cm) to mount the Picture Hanging Rail. That is a one-time step. After the rail is up, you hang, slide, and rearrange artwork on Perlon cords and hooks without drilling again.

Question 2

How much weight can the system hold?

Accepted Answer

Use the stated capacities on each SKU: the Picture Hanging Rail is listed at 25 kg per metre of rail, Perlon cords at 20 kg, the standard hook at 4 kg, and the Zipper Hook at 15 kg. Stay within the lowest rating in the combination you use. These are stated capacities, not independent lab certificates.

Question 3

Are cords and hooks included with the rail?

Accepted Answer

No. The rail, Perlon cords with Cobra, and hooks are sold separately. Configure a complete system on the products page, or add spare cords and hooks from Spare Parts.

Question 4

Can I use the rails on different wall types?

Accepted Answer

The rail can be mounted on drywall, plaster, concrete, brick, and wood if you use fixings suited to that wall. Choose wall plugs and screws for your substrate. We do not specify a single plug type for every wall.

Question 5

Can I paint the rail to match my wall color?

Accepted Answer

The Picture Hanging Rail comes in White, Black, and Silver. If needed, you can paint the aluminum rail with a suitable primer and spray paint to match your wall color.

Question 6

What rail lengths can I order?

Accepted Answer

The Picture Hanging Rail is priced per running foot. Order the length you need for the wall or ceiling run. There is no Minirail or Cliprail Max length pack on this site.

Question 7

How long does shipping take?

Accepted Answer

We ship across India using trusted logistics partners. Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days, then delivery takes 1–2 business days in Delhi NCR, 3–5 in metro cities, 4–6 in Tier 2 cities, and 6–10 in Tier 3 and remote areas. We provide tracking for every order.

Question 8

Do you offer professional installation services?

Accepted Answer

The rail is designed for DIY mounting with a drill and level. For large commercial projects (hotels, offices, galleries), we can discuss installation in select cities. Contact us for details.

Question 9

What is the return policy?

Accepted Answer

We offer an exchange-only policy, not a cash refund. You may request an exchange within 7 days of delivery if the product arrived damaged, the wrong item was sent, or there is a genuine manufacturing defect. Change of mind, installed products, custom-cut rails (unless they arrive damaged, are the wrong item, or have a manufacturing defect), and used cords or hooks are not eligible. Manufacturing defects that appear later are covered by a 12-month warranty from delivery. Contact info@windowtechs.in to start a request.

Question 10

Can the rail be used for ceiling mounting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Picture Hanging Rail mounts to a wall or a ceiling. Use fixings rated for the substrate and stay within the stated 25 kg per metre.

Question 11

Are the cords adjustable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Perlon cords can be slid along the rail, and hooks can be moved up or down for height. Adjustments after install are tool-free.

Question 12

Do you ship internationally?

Accepted Answer

Currently, we ship within India only. For international inquiries, contact us at info@windowtechs.in.
